Picture 1 is us trying to get an artsy/good picture of the ring! 2-3 is the INSANE amount of confetti that fell right after we got engaged! Brian said he was contemplating proposing during "Fix You", but seeing the set list for the England concert that said after that song the next one had a confetti show, he said it confirmed that it would be the right time! 4-5 is of Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay (Funniest person in the world and amazing performer!) 6 is us at the end of the night, enjoying a little bubbly and letting it all sink in. (Speaking of sinks, this lounge had the coolest sink, wish I had taken a picture...it was like a fountain! Elevated square in the middle and a run off around all sides of it..if that makes any sense...)
Details details details! Ugh I get engaged and 5 minutes later everyone wants to know when where why how! AH! Driving me a little crazy. Let's just hope everyone will settle down and be patient. We're thinking December as a possibility. I'll keep ya posted!
going dress shopping tomorrow...AH!

Hey Hey! Congratulations! I have you on my blog reader, but never comment as much as I like to because of it. So! With that said, haha... Wedding dress shopping advice. Hmm... 1) Unless your bridesmaids dresses are apple red or wine, do not believe the "dressed must be ordered together to ensure their color similarity". It's a load of crock that I learned was a load of crock after a year or dearing crock. Darn it.
2) Dresses DO need the crinoline slips under them - they do more to make a dress look right than anything else. (in the case of a-line/ballgown skirts) 3) A veil does more to make you look like a bride than anything else. Just my opinion. 4) You're on the shorter side, so steer away from a dress that has embroidery or something on the hem, since that will get chopped off when its hemmed. However, check each hem, because very often it's a piece of lace that's been sewn on separately and is not a part of the dress actually (ie, they can remove the lace, hem the dress, and add the lace or piece back on). You'll wear your shoes during the ceremony and be tempted to take them off (if you're anything like me) so be prepared for that, buy platform flipflops if you plan on doing that (since you'll need the height to keep your dress off the floor).
5) Wedding gowns run a size bigger than you wear. Don't be upset by this. It can be scary to want to look your best and be told you're up higher than you like to wear. Yeeeeesh, more than a few meltdowns over that one.
6)Do a tiara and scant jewelry or a tiny headband (or nothing) and bigger jewelry. Otherwise you'll look like a Claire's add. It's always funny to see girls DROWNING in their jewelry.
7)Oh, and if you're at Davids Bridal trying the Oleg Cassini collection (or the dress has an OBVIOUS corset built into it) you can go braless. But that's the one ones. Everything else requires the full long line bras. Your basic strapless just doesn't cut it.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. I'm here for your consulting pleasure! Good luck! And Congrats!
